car

I was responsible for designing, modeling and 3D printing the primary set asset of the film - a stylized VOLVO 240

The car was engineered to be assembled and disassembled modularly for ease of processing and utility across a variety of shots, rigs, and lighting setups.
It was important that each piece could be easily processed, molded, and surfaced. Each piece needed to be able to stand alone, as well as fit together into a final, unified rolling car asset.
Modular Design

Doors & DASH & Seat
the doors were designed with channels and keyed features to seat and secure laser- cut acrylic windows. pieces to be upholstered were also printed separately for ease of access.

The dash was composted of 4 separate pieces. laser cut air vents housed hidden rigging and magnets were used to secure the top for easy access and set up.
